July 31, 2013 - Introduction

For a great long while I have pondered the idea of posting a political blog. But not your ordinary political commentary. I have dreamed up a something that could serve as a repository, to pull information in from the Left and the Right with less of a stance in either direction and one that takes an entirely middle-of-the-road stance. But that proved to be a difficult proposition to carry out solo.

I am what would be considered a left-libertarian, but I will do my very best to provide a fairly biased point-of-view on these matters and write opinion articles with a dash of satire. Commentators can debate the facts and fact check as much as they like and it will be placed on a post-script section of the following blog. I have a unique point-of-view, being a liberal atheist socialist from Southern California and being from a diverse background.

My mother is second-generation Mexican-American and my father's family is descended from Welsh-Scottish family that arrived in the US in 1629. My mother's family is predominantly Roman Catholic and my father's side was essentially Protestant though I have a few Mormon family members. My worldview has evolved over the past few years and I believe that my opinions may offer a unique interpretation on the ever divisive politics of our nation and world.
